amaze-buns.

I was perusing through "A Cup of Jo" {which i'm sure a lot of you do...} and I came across this adorable hair tutorial to create three twisted buns. You will die over how cute and easy it is!

Here are the directions:

1. This style is so easy, it's laughable. Day-old hair is best (which is true for most hairstyles, since it's easier to work with hair that has a little dirt in it).

2. Divide your hair into three equal parts and quickly spray each section with a little hairspray to help give it hold. Let the hairspray set for a couple seconds, and then lightly comb it out.

3. Take the section on your right side, and twist your hair all the way down to the end. You want to twist counter-clockwise, toward your face. Wrap the right section in on itself, just like you're making a little bun. Let some of the hair stick out, it's ok (you don't want them to look like Princess Leia buns).

4. Pin the right bun in place. I like to use these
mini bobby pins, since they're easier to hide and they're coated in rubber so they hold your hair better.

5. Next, twist the middle section clockwise and pin. Then twist the left section clockwise and pin.

6. Spray the three buns with a little more hairspray, and you're done!

See? Super simple!

Thank-you, thank-you for sharing Joanna! I love discovering new ways to pull my hair back! What a cute idea. I can't wait to try it!!

Rapunzel.

We saw "Tangled" last weekend. It was so so cute. It got me thinking about her luscious locks. Would I really want hair that crazy thick\long? Probablly not.

But man, if my hair was thick enough to do something like this...

that would really be sweet.
That is some crazy braid action!

Spotted: Summer Hair Trend...

I cannot think of a better, faster, or cuter way
to get your hair off your neck in these high temperatures,
then with a high-bun!

The glorious thing about it, is that is doesn't have to be neat. It's a messy way of doing something so sophisticated! I have been wearing my hair like this a little too much as of late. {Just ask my husband!}
It's just so easy, and requires NO time at all!

Plus, it's a huge celeb. trend right now!
If they can pull it off, we can too!
Whitney Port sports the super-casual bun.

Vanessa Hudgens- sporting a messy\curly version of the look...

And the always classy, Cameron Diaz.
Give this one a try!
You will not regret, my friends!

A picture to prove it...

Well, I really don't want this to be a blog full of pictures of me.
BUT, I decided I had better try this out if I was gonna be preachin about it!
Sure enough, it took me MAYBE 5 minutes.
{It's a little bit of the sloppier version. Less formal}
This is the best picture I could get without the little man
yankin' on my hair or earrings!! :)
Gotta love Photo Booth!

So did ya try it?

It's Just Another Manic Monday...

And you are running late for work. What's a girl to do!?
Ashley Green shows us an easy way to look put together with a simple half-up pony.
So fast, so easy, so cute!!

{and it doesn't hurt that she is gorgeous!}

First, if you have time, I would quickly curl the ends, just to give it that additional look.

Second, backcomb the top section to give it that slight volume on top. Once finished, lightly comb back, and smooth the top layer back. {hairspray is very helpful here!} Get your section and secure loosely with an elastic band. I would use a light smoothing creme to smooth away any flyaways, and make it a smooth look.

Next, as you are securing in the elastic band, flip the hair around a couple of times to create the "loose bun" effect. The idea with this hairstyle is to create a relaxed, but sophisticated loose, half-up bun\pony!

I think she does a great job pulling it off here at the premier of
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

{p.s. I am LOVING her hair color! So gorgeous!}

Give this look a try! And let me know what you think...
