juicy goodness.

Today I ventured out to the mall. Two mommies, two toddlers and an 8 month-old. Needless to  say it was nothing short of eventful. What are we going to do when we each have 3 kids? Never go to the mall. That's what!!

Anyway, we survived... and had a great time. The stores were oozing of juicy goodness. Here are a few of my favorite finds!!

I managed to escape only buying the foundation, gel eyeliner, and a cute new pair of earrings. {not pictured}

p.s. I think I have a new foundation favorite. Please, do yourself a favor and go to your nearest CHANEL counter. You can thank me later. :)

p.p.s I want to buy those "tiny toms" for Roman SOOOO bad.

p.p.s.s. I love that they are called "tiny toms." just stop!

1. Red Toms
2.  Tiny Toms
3. Katie K Stripe Boxy Top
4. Bobbi Brown long-wear gel Eyeliner in Black Ink
5. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Skin Perfecting Make-up
6. Owl Earrings
7. Peach Scarf

don't mess with texas.

1. First of all, does anyone else out there watch Friday Night Lights? {or F.N.L. as we lovingly refer to it around our house} Two words: TIM RIGGINS. We started watching it starting with Season 1 in January. It's so dang good. Every night we looked forward to coming home and watching our show. Anyway, it just ended forever on Season 5, so we still are waiting for the final season to come out.
{the suspense is killing us!}

2. We have been planning a trip to Texas in June to visit my hubby's BFF.  I was so excited!! 'Specially after watching "F.N.L."... but due to some changes in our life...{more on that later}...{and NOOOO I am not pregnant}... it looks like the trip will have to wait. :( Someday...someday...

#3. Just when I was all hyped up about all this TEXAS stuff, O.P.I. goes out and does it again! Presenting.......

Oh snap! I am loving "Guy Meets Gal-veston", "Don't Mess With OPI",
 & "Houston, we have a Purple."

I am heading to the beauty supply store today... looks like I have some new investments to make!

Clear eyes. Full hearts.
TEXAS FOREVER!
{it's an FNL thing. go watch it. seriously!}

skirt trend alert.

Have you noticed? Calf- Length skirts are a HUGE trend this spring! They are popping up on red carpets everywhere. I, personally, am in love with this length of skirt.  If anyone knows me, they know I love wearing skirts and dresses and usually prefer them over pants any day. I love a few things about this great trend:

  1. I love how feminine they are. They seem so girly when paired with some great pumps or strappy sandals.
  2. It's so refreshing to see some skin being covered up!! These days it seems like the skimpier, the better! This is proof that you don't have to flaunt yourself to look sexy!
  3. As a mommy, I love that by wearing a skirt that is a little longer, you don't have to worry about bending over to pick up your screaming chilld on the floor, while flashing your entire congregation at church! {oh believe me, it's happened} - Not to mention wind gusts in the parking lot, kids lifting up your skirt, picking up toys and snacks off the floor, etc. etc.
Here are a few favorites...

This darling striped Patagonia Skirt is the perfect solution for a warm, summer,
flip-flop\t-shirt wearing kind of day.
I think this Black leather version of the calf-length skirt is so great. It's so versatile... you could easily dress it up, or dress it down.

And last, but not least... I love this grey one. {Florence Midi Skirt} I love the floral buttons. You could pair this skirt with a million different tops.

Looks like I need to go shopping!!

L.C. at Kohls.

The gorgeous Lauren Conrad has a new line of Spring clothing at Kohl's. I love her feminine style. She is such a beautiful person, too. The good news is that the clothing ranges anywhere from $10-$60. A very affordable price range.

Here are a few of my favorite looks:

I love this girly dress. I am always on the look-out for cute new dresses and skirts. That belt totally completes this outfit.

Loving the fresh feel of this trenchcoat. Nothing screams Spring like a turquoise trench! In fact, in high school, I owned a hot pink trench from Banana Republic. Pretty sure it was my most prized possession for a little while...

I just love everything about this look. Love the jacket with the skinny jeans and the nice spring top. It's a perfect outfit for a cool, spring day.

P.S. Don't you love her hair?? Makes me want to freshen my own hair up a bit.

Man Fashion: Spring Fashion

Spring break is a time to reflect on the year so far, take time off, and definitely catch up on some needed fashion tips. So, whether you're staying at home and are looking for some comfy, relaxing clothes, or going on a trip and needing some style guidance, fashion is never too far away.

Penny Saver
If you're not into spending a ton of money, take five or so items out of your closet and invite friends over to do the same so you can exchange items and update your wardrobe effortlessly. This way, you can get a few free items and wear them your own personal way without emptying your wallet. Plus, it's a good way to spend quality time with your friends and get to know each other better.

Couch Lounging
For starters, tons of people on campus prefer to spend their time at home instead of taking expensive trips over spring break. So if you love to lounge and be comfortable, here are the perfect items that you need. Obviously, everyone needs a good, sturdy yet flattering, pair of sweatpants that don't absolutely drown your figure.

Hanes has a great line of matching sweatshirts and pants that are priced, at the most, $16 a piece. These sweatpants outfits for men are different from other brands such as Land's End, Adidas, and Champion because Hanes is not only more affordable, but more accessible at Walmart and select Walgreens stores.

Spring Essentials
Spring break is the ideal time to grab a few essentials for the new season, and re-create your wardrobe with a few new items. Since shopping is quite an exhilarating experience, if you happen to have the funds, there are some items that you have to grab this season.

Men obviously don't have to mix up their wardrobe too much, but there are some things they should be adding along the way this spring break. Purchasing a couple of graphic t-shirts and polo shirts is a great investment because they can go a long way. Graphic t-shirts are great for hanging out with friends, playing sports outside, or lounging around in the house.

Polo shirts are good for night time activities to dress up your attire a tad bit, or you can even tuck it in to wear for a special event or interview.
